Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

I never knew there was so much to do and know about "tile" laying ( that's what she said!!!).... i thought you just put it in and that is it! thanks for educating us Mr Zack and letting all those nay sayers know that the water your letting loose isn't full of runoff its just extra water that is not needed! great work.

Where does the runoff water go ,I hope it doesn't just go down stream ,You know the second biggest dead zone on earth is right at the Mississippi where it enters the gulf.wasted fertilizer.

Definitely a science. Rows to close, waste of money. Rows to far apart, not effective. To deep, no good. To shallow, clog with silt.

That's one impressive plow. Not that I'm an expert but I wonder if by using an approach like Gabe Brown uses with mutliple cover crops, would this amount of drainage be necessary.

Take all that field rock and get some erosion stone around the outlet, animal guard would go a long way too. Good looking plow and hoe man has some attention to detail. Good seeing top soil getting sorted in the starter ditches. Looks like a well run operation.

if only you could send the excess water here. but pumping the water halfway around the world would be stupid expensive. (probably could be done but wouldn't due to cost and stupidity)

Curious question. When I install drainage systems in the landscape industry I typically use 4” ADS with a sock. Any reason why you don’t use Sock ADS when tiling?

Loved this!! Funny plus I learned about ‘tiling’. Didn’t have a clue about what tiling was. Asked my husband (who pretty much knows a little bit to a whole lot about everything !! ) to get the basics. So now I know what tiles are and why they’re necessary and useful and preserves the health and integrity of the soil! Thanks for a great vlog!! Hi Randy!!

Impressive results! Who said these new kids don't know what they're doing? The world continues to be fed by these new-fangled farmers and their big expensive toys. May America always have talented men in the fields.

With these machines why is 4000 hours a lot? Does the machine basically pay for itself for them to sell it? Or does cost of maintaining go up
