  • Former President George W. Bush tears up while eulogizing his father, George H.W. Bush, at a state funeral in Washington.
The 43rd president said his father, the 41st president, taught him how to lead.
"He showed me what it means to be a president who serves with integrity, leads with courage and acts with love in his heart for the citizens of our country," Bush said. "When the history books are written, they will say that George H.W. Bush was a great president of the United States."
Bush's eulogy ended on an emotional note. Concluding his remarks, he added through tears: "Your decency, sincerity and kind soul will stay with us forever. So through our tears, let us know the blessings of knowing and loving you, a great and noble man. The best father a son or daughter could have."

You know what? I’m a Democrat. I almost never vote Republican, but I can pay respects when they are due. George W. Bush may not have been the best president, but in this moment, I can stand by him as he mourns his late father. I truly am disgusted by some of the comments in this comment section that insult the Bush family in their time of mourning. I hope that those people could just think for a moment about a loved one that they lost and how they would feel if someone else insulted THEIR family. My condolences to the Bush family for the loss of a great president. And may God bless America.

John F. Kennedy wanted to withdraw all U.S. troops out by the end of 1964, George H. W. Bush was part of the reason and personally saw to it that didn't happen in November of 1963. Your fathers, uncles, sons, lost their lives because of this sorry piece of shit they were eulogizing and by the sorry-ass son giving the eulogy. IF THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU MAD, THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL.

People find it inappropriate that there are ads on this video. But is George Bush really gonna do a eulogy and ignore the fact that he killed millions of Iraqi children by authorising an illegal war? He's not innocent either. Learn to zoom out and see through your biases.

George H Bush had a life i would envy, he was a navy fighter pilot and survived and then became president such an honourable guy and a brave man. Reminds me of my Grandfather and his 6 brothers , all of which fought against the Germans in Yugolsavia. You don't get many men like that these days. Men who would sacrifice everything for freedom and their loved ones. Truely selfless men. Sometimes i feel ashamed because i do not know if i would be brave enought to do what they did.

so many children lost their dads and moms and bothers and sisters, and he had alot to do with that. i did not expect to see any real emotions from this man but those emotions were real, makes me wonder if someone is capable of having those emotions what makes them so unbelievably evil. i really wonder.
