    *Summer Schedule*
Our schedule may vary, but expect a new video 3 days a week at 11AM Central!

How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a YouTube channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin.

Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like.
These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.

How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

I thought Brian Brown (Brian's Farming Videos) said that their Claas combines came with Capello corn heads? Another great video review Ryan & guys.

CORN MAKES ETHANOL, ETHANOL FUEL CONTAINS ALCOHOL, ALCOHOL CREATES MOISTURE, ETHANOL FUEL IS NO GOOD FOR CARBURETORS, FUEL LINES, ETC. ETHANOL WAS INTRODUCED IN THE LATE 80S EARLY 90S SO THE AMERICAN FARMER CAN MAKE MONEY I LOVE IT!

They should make a software addition to your monitor in the combine so that you can manually mark ditches...perhaps color coded to severity....so that you could run the corn head lower and be warned as you are coming up to a ditch (to raise the head up a bit).

We have a fantini 8R30 chopping corn head, we've noticed the weight difference is quite different from our old geringoff northstar regular corn head

We've got a 12 row chopping cappello folding corn head,,works excellent,,and yes get stuck stompers too..and if you dont use the choppers, make sure you lock them so they dont interfere with the snap and rolls pulling the stocks through.

Can you rake what you cut with the Capello head and bale it or do you still have to chop it with the 4155?

Ryan do the stalks that you hit with the Cappelo cornhead make better baling and dryer material than the JD head you were using ?

could those choppers eliminate the need to mow the stalks before baling?
